Coronavirus Update – 26th March 2021

Increase to 6 Persons from 2 Households for Outdoor Activities

From Saturday 27th March, the limit of 4 persons from 2 households meeting for outdoor activities increases to 6 persons. The limit of 2 households still applies and is not likely to change whilst Wales remains in Alert Level 4.

For target shooting in Wales, this is welcome news that might make the reopening of facilities more viable.

The Welsh government is also reducing restrictions on organised activities for those under 18 years of age, beginning Saturday 27th March. No specific limits for numbers of participants or adult organisers have been published by the government, however organisers should consider the size of their groups in light of the need to minimise infection risks and continue to practice all mitigating actions.

For more information see the Welsh Government’s FAQ advice on outdoor activities for U18s.

The Welsh Target Shooting Federation has published guidance and useful resources that facilities can use to reopen safely, find all of these at the foot of our main Coronavirus news page.
