The Be Active Wales Fund is a grant supported by the National Lottery. It funds not-for-profit sports clubs and community groups across Wales. You can apply for grants from £300 to £50,000 to get more people taking part in sport.

Crowdfunder is the UK’s leading funding platform where individuals can take their ideas forward and make them a reality with help from the crowd. A Place For Sport offers clubs a great opportunity to engage with their community and raise money. If clubs or community organisations can raise money towards a targeted goal, Sport Wales will pledge funds up to 50% towards the given project.

Grant Overview
Clubs can apply for grants of up to £25,000 to fund various energy-saving measures,
including:
Installation of solar panels and storage batteries
Upgrades to insulation, windows, and doors
Installation of energy-efficient lighting (excluding floodlights)
Improvements to heating and hot water systems (excluding catering-only purposes)
Implementation of sustainable water systems, such as rainwater harvesting or boreholes
This funding is aimed at making clubs more sustainable, cutting down on energy bills, and helping protect the environment.
Open to all non profit clubs
Applications are open from 21 May to 25 June 2025.
