World Field Target Championships Success

15 Welsh Athletes attended the World Field Target Championships in Armagh, Northern Ireland. They were competing with almost 200 athletes from 21 countries.

The courses and weather conditions proved to be very testing for our athletes, which was reflected in our performances. Our PCP Team achieved 6th place, with Jack Harris placed at 13th and Dorian Falconer at 19th.

John Easterbrook after a shoot off with 3 others achieved 2nd place in the Veteran’s Class.

Helen Carragher was 8th in the female class.

Congratulations to Tyla Williams, a junior member of Blaenau Gwent ARC in achieving the highest score in the Junior Class to be crowned the Junior World Champion. Tyla is 17 years old and only took up our sport 2 years ago, during which time he has consistently improved his performance, and is currently ranked 3rd in the WAFTA Summer Series.
