Substantial COVID-19 precautions and procedures were in place to make the event safe for all teams attending and the local community. Three Welsh athletes were competing as part of the British Shooting team, representing Wales and the UK in Men’s 10m Air Pistol, Men’s Skeet, and Junior Men’s Trap.

James Miller competed in the 10m Air Pistol in his first major senior competition scoring 570 18x. As a junior at the last ESC Championship James won a silver medal. Coached by Alan Green, James is one of many young and talented Welsh pistol shooters with a promising future.

Ben finished top of all the British athletes in qualification with 122 and narrowly missed out on a place in the final by one target in a close shoot-off.
