Kerry Skidmore

Governance and Safeguarding Manager

With a teaching career that spans 20 years, Kerry has a wealth of Safeguarding and Governance experience that she is bringing to WTSF. Most recently a Senior Leader in a comprehensive school in South London, Kerry relocated to Wales to have her son in 2022 and moved into Safeguarding in the sport sector to enable a positive work-life balance. She joins us from Paddle Cymru and will be working as the national Safeguarding Lead for the Ramblers Walking Charity alongside her role at WTSF. Kerry also carries out consultancy work in both Safeguarding and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.

Kerry’s background is in Music, and in 2024, she took up the role of Chair at Music Theatre Wales (an Opera company based in Wales that is producing new and innovative work). Prior to that, and alongside her teaching, she held the position of Creative Producer with Multi-Story Orchestra and worked on a project called ‘The Endz’. The widely acclaimed piece went on to win the Royal Philharmonic Society Impact Award in 2023.

Kerry is delighted to be joining the WTSF and is excited to work with everyone to create a safe and inclusive space in all target shooting.

The Governance and Safeguarding Manager is responsible for ensuring that the WTSF operates in compliance with all relevant governance and safeguarding standards.
