Funding for Welsh Clubs

Be Active Wales Fund

Through the Sport Wales Be Active Wales Fund grant system, 5 clubs have secured funding with the support of the WTSF totalling almost £43,000 since the fund started 2 years ago.

Funding has helped the clubs upgrade their equipment, allowed expansion into their community and help level 1 and 2 coaches gain qualifications. The Be Active Wales Fund can be used for items that are used on the range or shooting ground.

The Fund offers grants from £300 to £50,000 for projects in Wales that intend to do at least one of the following:

Grants up to £10,000 require no capital input by the club or ground.

Crowdfunder – A Place for Sport

Crowdfunding is a different way to raise money for good ideas. People are increasingly bypassing more traditional funding routes such as bank loans or grants and turning instead to the people around them and in their community to support their venture. It’s been around for centuries but the internet makes it possible to reach much bigger audiences than before.

Crowd funder can be used for projects off the range or shooting ground, such as improvements to facilities or disability access.

Advocate for quality target shooting facilities

As part of our strategy, the WTSF is committed to becoming an “Advocate for quality target shooting facilities”.

We are keen for more clubs to explore this funding.
