Entries Now Open for the Welsh Shooting British Open Para Sport Championships 2026
Welsh Shooting is delighted to announce that entries are now open for the British Open Para Sport Championships 2026, taking place at LC Swansea from Friday 11 to Sunday 13 September as part of the Disability Sport Wales Para Sport Festival.
The Championships continue to build on the success of the Shooting Para Sport Welsh Open Championships, which have been held since 2022. The event celebrates the diversity, inclusivity and accessibility of target shooting while providing high-quality competition opportunities for athletes from across the UK.
The Championships will feature Air Rifle and Air Pistol competitions across a range of classifications and are open to both disabled and non-disabled athletes. The Championships provide an excellent opportunity for new athletes to experience competitive shooting, meet fellow competitors, coaches and officials.
Non-disabled athletes are also welcome to apply for a place, subject to availability. Priority will be given to athletes accompanying or supporting a disabled athlete, reinforcing the Championships’ commitment to inclusive participation.
The event forms part of the Disability Sport Wales Para Sport Festival, bringing together athletes from a wide range of sports to celebrate the power of inclusive sport across Wales.

Free training will take place on Friday 11 September, with competitions taking place across Saturday and Sunday. Spectators are welcome to attend and support the athletes throughout the weekend.
