Mae'r WTSF yn falch o gyhoeddi bod David Phelps wedi'i ddewis i ymuno \u00e2 chomisiwn yr Athletwyr. Y gr\u0175p newydd o athletwyr fydd llais yr athletwyr wrth i D\u00eem Cymru baratoi ar gyfer Trinbago 2023 a Victoria 2026.<\/p>\n

Mae 13 o athletwyr ar draws un ar ddeg o chwaraeon wedi cael eu dewis fel rhan o'r Comisiwn Athletwyr newydd. Bydd y gr\u0175p yn gweithio\u2019n agos gydag aelodau Bwrdd Gemau\u2019r Gymanwlad i roi cyngor a rhoi adborth ar amrywiaeth o bynciau athletwyr.<\/p>\n

Dywedodd David, sydd wedi ennill medal aur y Gymanwlad ddwywaith:<\/p>\n

\u201cRwyf wrth fy modd i gael fy newis eto, ar gyfer fy nhymor olaf, i fod yn rhan o Gomisiwn Athletwyr T\u00eem Cymru. Mae\u2019r cyfle i gymryd rhan yn y daith i Victoria 2026, a helpu i lunio sut olwg fydd arni yn fraint lwyr, yr wyf yn ei thrysori.<\/p>\n

A minnau\u2019n rhan o Gomisiwn Athletwyr T\u00eem Cymru, edrychaf ymlaen at weithio gyda chyd-athletwyr o amrywiaeth o chwaraeon, gan ddod \u00e2\u2019r holl wybodaeth a\u2019r profiad hwnnw ynghyd i roi\u2019r profiad gorau oll i Athletwyr T\u00eem Cymru. Bydd Gemau\u2019r Gymanwlad Victoria 2026 yn esblygiad pellach o\u2019r model cyflwyno gemau newydd gyda grwpiau o chwaraeon yn cael eu cartrefu ac yn cystadlu mewn hybiau rhanbarthol, mae hyn yn dod \u00e2 heriau newydd i ddod, syniadau newydd i ddod \u00e2\u2019r t\u00eem at ei gilydd hanner ffordd o amgylch y byd.<\/p>\n

Rwyf wedi fy nghyffroi gan yr her a'r gwaith caled y bydd ei angen, oherwydd rwyf bob amser eisiau'r gorau i'r t\u00eem.'<\/p>\n

Bydd ei brofiad a\u2019i wybodaeth helaeth, o gystadlu mewn pump o Gemau\u2019r Gymanwlad, ennill dwy fedal aur ac efydd, ynghyd \u00e2\u2019i ymgysylltiad blaenorol ar y Comisiwn Athletwyr yn cynorthwyo gyda thaith y t\u00eem i Birmingham 2022, yn cael eu defnyddio\u2019n dda.<\/p>\n

Rwy\u2019n si\u0175r y bydd yn parhau i fod yn aelod gwerthfawr o\u2019r Comisiwn a bydd David yn mwynhau\u2019r cyfle i ymgymryd \u00e2\u2019r her o helpu T\u00eem Cymru i gynllunio\u2019r daith i Victoria 2026.\u201d<\/p>\n
