Coronavirus rates in Wales and across the UK continue to remain high, as such both the Welsh government and UK government in Westminster have implemented stay at home instructions which include the closure of all non-essential businesses.
In practice, these restrictions mean that Welsh people will not be able to take part in target shooting. This is because leisure and sports centres are required to close, which includes both indoor and outdoor shooting grounds and clubs. Similarly, restrictions on individuals mean that people cannot travel from their home with sporting equipment to a place or facility and must exercise locally outside with up to one other person.
The WTSF High Performance system has arranged special dispensations for elite athletes representing Wales and the UK on the world stage, these are managed by the WTSF and approved by Sport Wales. These athletes are allowed to train as specific sites and must follow strict COVID-safe protocols.
