The WTSF is pleased to be, for the fourth year, a part of the Disability Sport Wales Para Sport Festival.

A busy day on the range with 3 relays and 5 finals. Well done to everyone competing in challenging conditions due to the heat and congratulations to the medal winners.
A great, although hot, start to the Championship weekend with many athletes choosing to acclimatise with some training on range today. The first competitions start tomorrow at 10am and if you can’t be in Swansea you can follow the action live on the Megalink Live View

Competitions will take place at the Swansea Indoor Tennis Centre.
Building on the great success of the Shooting Para Sport Welsh Open Championships held since 2022, the focus of this competition is to continue to celebrate the diversity and inclusivity of target shooting, whilst growing participation numbers.
Entries are open to disabled and non-disabled athletes.
We welcome all disabled shooters, a national or international disability classification for shooting is not required. This will be a great time to meet other athletes and officials to find out how you can become classified, if you want.
Non-disabled athletes are welcome if space permits. We would love to see those who shoot in clubs alongside their disabled friends to also compete in this competition. Priority will be given to non-disabled athletes who are accompanying a disabled athlete.

Entries are paid through the Eventbrite ticketing system. Please select the relevant ticket and complete the questions so we know what and when you want to shoot.
If you are not an athlete, but a coach, loader or support staff who will need access to the field of play please select the free of charge accreditation ticket. This will help us gauge how many people will be at the event and ensure those who need access to the field of play are accredited.
Spectators do not require accreditation.
Day 1 – Friday 11th July is an official training day.
Day 2 – Saturday 12th July – Competitions for all disciplines, with finals for the Pistol (P1 & P2) and standing rifle disciplines (R1, R2 & R4).
Day 3 – Sunday 13th July – Competitions for all disciplines, with finals for the prone rifle disciplines (R3 & R5).
There will be no final for VI.
Electronic targets will be used for all Competitions and the Finals.

There will be the opportunity for 2 competitions in each event. The first competition score will count towards qualification for the Final and the second will be added to the first to create an aggregate competition.
The ticketing system allows you to shoot up to 4 times over the 2 days. This allows rifle athletes to shoot standing and prone, twice each. If a pistol or rifle athlete wishes to shoot the same event more than twice, you can, but the extra shoots will be for honours only.

The awards ceremonies will take place immediately after the end of each Final for matches with finals. Medals for the aggregate competitions will be awarded after the last detail.
All the competitions, except VI, will be conducted according to the current WSPS Rules and Regulations as far as is reasonably practicable.
Shooting for the Visually Impaired (VI) competition format will be Benchrest using the NSRA rules as guidance rather than the WSPS prone or standing competitions.

Non-disabled athletes are asked to complete the free of charge ticket request. The organisers will contact you no later than 1st July to let you know if you do or do not have a place in the competition. If you have a place you will be asked to complete the purchase of a ticket.

Entry fee for each competitions will be £12.00 each and there will be a £5.00 administration fee.
If you cancel more than 7 days in advance of the competition we will refund the entry fee and retain the administration fee. If you cancel within 7 days we will refund 50% of the entry fee and retain the administration fee. If we cancel the Championships there will be a full refund.
Swansea is very accessible with good road and rail connections.

There are no official hotels or transport organised for these Championships.
There is a café in the Tennis Centre serving light snacks and beverages. It is less than 250m to a shopping centre where there are cafe’s, coffee shops and fast food restaurants.
There is parking at the Tennis Centre for approximately 50 cars. Priority will be given to blue badge holders. Additional parking is available at the Swansea City Stadium which is a 10 minute walk.
The schedule will be finalised once entry numbers are known.
